When you find you have purchased equal quality for less money, or better quality for the same money, you are naturally well pleased. But when you receive better quality for less money, you are sure to be enthusiastic. It is only natural that our cus- tomers should feel the same way
These testimonials from enthusiastic customers — a few of many thousand — bespeak savings so large, and a degree of satisfaction so great that they are most convincing. Buy from the pages of this book, and when your purchases arrive, you, too, will be just as enthusiastic.

Years Ago
About 14 years ago I purchased through your Chicago house seven Birch doors, 2'6"x6'6", laminated, a pair of leaded glass cupboard-doors and enough Maple Flooring to finish 4 rooms and hallway in a farm house I was remodeling. The whole lot cost me less delivered than the flooring alone would have, purchased locally. I had occasion to visit the present owner a few weeks ago and found the woodwork looking as good as the day it was installed. I can recom- mend your lumber and millwork with strongest praise to anvone.

Oak and Birch
Our HARDWOOD DOORS are made of the Highest Grade Oak or Birch Veneers, selected for grain and color. The stiles and rails are built of White Pine cores, locked, joined and glued together, with the grain turned in different directions, which avoids warping.
Oak strips are placed on each edge of the stiles and rails before the veneer is applied, giving the door the same appearance as having been built of solid hardwood. ?
All Panels in our doors are three- ply laminated construction, selected for beautiful grain and color. In these panels the center layer has the grain running in the opposite direction. This construction makes an extra strong panel that will not warp or check.
The Molding around the panels is solid sticking, perfect in workmanship.
Trim to match these doors is illus- trated, priced and described separately on pages 36 to 41.

Screen and Storm Door Combination
A Screen Door in Summer; a Storm Door in Winter
HERE'S the highest class combina- tion storm and screen door made. A high grade screen door in%sum- mer — a substantial storm door in winter — at the price of one door. The door remains on hinges all year around — you simply change the center panel in spring and fall. A strong, solid adjust- able fastener holds screen or glass panel firmly in place.
Changes from storm door to screen door, or vice versa, quickly — all you need is a screwdriver.
It's the most dependable and easiest adjustment (see illustration at right) together with a most dependable door sash and screen arrangement.
It will no longer be "necessary, when the end of the summer comes, to take down the screen door and put up a storm door in its place. This door re- mains on the hinges the year around.

These panels are inter- changeable. Simply turn 4 patented adjustable fas- teners a quarter turn to change the center panel.
The illustration above shows Patent Adjustable Fastener. Contractors tell us it's the most Practical they've seen.
Our znethodof fasten- ing thestorm and screen panels overcomes rattling. You will note from the illustration above that the metal lock is adjustable. Every half turn of screw operates lock. Increases its pressure and holds panel firmly, also elim- inating any chances for rattling.

Side and top rails, 3^4 inches wide; bottom rail, 9)'i inches wide. This allows a small margin for trimming to insure snug fit. Wood panel at bottom of door. Glazed Windows
Made o£ Clear White Pine
All our windows are mortised and tenoned. The White Pine is thoroughly kiln dried, carefully machined and sanded. Can be finished in "light natural" or any finish desired. Contractors say they are the best windows they ever saw. Glazed with good quality glass, securely held with points and the best putty, preventing the window glass from rattling and making a tighter and neater job.
Check rail windows are 1% inches thick and have a check rail where the two sash come together; preventing rattling or driving rains and snow beat- ing through. Carefully crated. Safe delivery guar- anteed.
NOTE — Weights shown are of the window only, to assist in ordering sash weights. (See page 29.) For shipping weight or weight of window and crat- ing add one-fifth to the weight given.

If crown mold cap frame is wanted, allow 50 cents extra over price quoted for plain drip cap door frames of cor- responding size. When ordering crown mold cap frame, specify catalog num- ber63PM9834, and state "with crown mold cap." All parts of crown mold cap frame are of the same dimen- sions as plain drip cap frame, except crown mold, drip cap mold and head casing. (For dimensions see lower detail at left.)
Door Frames fgggt}.
Plain Drip Cap Outside Door Frames
WE USE thoroughly dried and seasoned lumber kept from the weather in mammoth warehouses; when kept properly protected with paint will not warp or check.
We use practically clear Louisiana cypress for the outside casings and moldings and solid oak for the sills. There is no better material for the manu- facture of the various parts of the frame.
All frames packed to secure lowest transportation rates. Will reach you in a clean and perfect condition and take the lowest freight rate. Each part is cut to exact size. Easy to put together.
Opening size shown is outside measurement of door and inside measurement of frame. Stud opening should be 4 inches wider and 5 inches higher than outside measurement of door.
Jambs of frames are rabbeted for 1%-inch or 1%-inch doors.
When ordering frames be sure to give the thickness of the door for which the frame is wanted.
We ship promptly.
Door Frames With Hardwood Sills
OUR FRAMES WILL OUTWEAR THE BUILDING, because REAL CYPRESS, "The Wood Eternal," is used for all our door and window frames.
We do not use Redwood or Pine for the outside casings and mold- ings of our frames. nxusT
Cypress takes paint readily; will not warp or check. IT IS THE BEST WOOD for this purpose.
When ordering door frames be sure to give width first.
Made with iy8-inch outside casing and with or without transom head. Where jambs are wanted wider than 5}4 inches, add 35 cents for each additional inch or fraction thereof in the width of the jamb.
